Dangers To Avoid
Cats, no matter how friendly they may be. should not be
allowed in a room with a free-flying budgerigar. It is against nature
for them to stay together and not worth taking the risk involved. Dogs,
even hunting dogs, seem better disposed towards budgerigars, but it is
still inadvisable to leave a bird and a dog on their own in a room.
 Shiny objects have a great fascination for budgerigars so do not leave
breakable or valuable objects on a ledge where the budgerigar might push
them over the edge. Surprisingly heavy vases have been shattered when
budgerigars, with a strength far beyond their size, have managed to
topple them off shelves.
